A Universal Healing Prayer
Dear Lord God, Cause your face to shine on this world. Bring into focus your intent for our daily lives. Turn hearts of stone into hearts of compassion. Cause us to cast aside personal ego in order to do your will. Persuade those who would do evil to do good. Speak to those who are afraid and encourage the righteous to prevail for the good of others. Incline the hearts of all people to listen to your Word. Lift up the humble in spirit and support the weak. Give us peace in our time, dear Lord. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen. Cause us, our Father, to lie down in peace, and rise again to enjoy life. Spread over us the covering of Your peace, guide us with Your good counsel and save us for the sake of Your name. Be a shield about us, turning away every enemy, disease, violence, hunger and sorrow. Shelter us in the shadow of Your wings, for You are a God who guards and protects us, a ruler of mercy and compassion. Guard us when we go out and when we come in, to enjoy life and peace both now and forever, and spread over us the shelter of Your peace. Blessed are You Lord, who spreads the shelter of peace over us, over His people Israel, and over all the world.
